What is the Canfit™ 3D Plantar Scanner?

The Canfit™ 3D Plantar Scanner is a precision optical imaging device designed specifically to capture the three-dimensional shape of the plantar aspect of human feet for the purpose of designing custom insoles.
Employing two cameras and two lasers, the 3D Plantar Scanner provides high speed and high resolution insole shape data. It obtains surface scans of a patient's foot in less than 4 seconds.
The 3D Plantar Scanner works with the Footscan ™ software to rapidly process raw scan data into an accurate image with comprehensive measurement information. Three-dimensional data for the plantar surface of the feet, including lateral and medial margins and posterior margins, as well as foot measurements are recorded. These data integrate seamlessly with the Canfit™ Insole Systems for the design of soft and hard insoles.
Tools
What does the Canfit™ 3D Plantar Scanner come with?
- The Canfit™ 3D Plantar Scanner
- Data Acquisition Software (Foot scan™)
- Power cord & USB connector
How does the 3D Plantar Scanner work?
- Turn on scanner and computer
- Open the Footscan™ software
- Place foot on weight bearing platform
(Note: Foot may be in the weight-bearing, partial weight-bearing or non-weight bearing position)
- Set the software to scan - takes approximately 4 seconds
- Scan, along with the foot measurements, will be displayed on the computer screen
- Scanned shape is ready for modification
- Use the Canfit™ Insole Design software to further modify your scan, directly or grade a library shape to customize an insole for your patient
- After your design is complete, export the file to our OrthoCAM™ software
- From the OrthoCAM™ software, you may prepare one or several insoles for direct carving on a Canfit™ FootWare™ Carver
Advantages of the 3D Plantar Scanner?
