What is the Canfit™ OrthoCAM™ software?

The Canfit™ OrthoCAM™ software and custom insole carving table give you the capability to carve insoles on Vorum's FootWare™ Carvers.

This software provides a graphical interface between the Canfit™ FootWare™ Design software and the carving machine. Once your design file is transferred into Canfit™ OrthoCAM™software, you have full control over the position and orientation of the shape within the carving material. Adjustment features within the software allow for optimal placement of the insoles within the carving material.

How does the Canfit™ OrthoCAM™ software work?

After you have completed your design in the Canfit™ FootWare™ Design software, you can then export your design file to the OrthoCAM™ program.

  • Load your design shape in the Canfit™ OrthoCAM™software
  • Choose the material of the block (ie. Variable density EVA or cork)
  • After the block is chosen, you may adjust your insoles to specify how you want them carved within the block. You have the option of adjusting side-to-side, rotation, and up-down (thickness).
  • Once your insole is adjusted within the block and ready to go, you save your carve file.
  • The output file from Canfit™ OrthoCAM™software may be loaded into the carver via direct cable link. This file provides the commands for sequential carving and parting/trimming of all loaded shapes. Multiple pairs of insoles may be carved at a time.

I would like to carve insoles, do I need this software?

To carve insoles, yes you need this software. This software converts your design file to a format that is readable by the carver.
