What are Canfit™ Insole Carvers?

Canfit™ Insole Carvers are an exciting solution for manufacturing the most challenging orthopedic insole designs.
Soft insoles can be carved from a variety of materials including EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate), cork, or similar materials. Canfit™ Insole Carvers can carve densities ranging from 25-75 shore and depths up to 60mm. These features allow users to mill complex shapes such as deep heel cups and high heel heights, to compensate for leg-length discrepancy. Canfit™ Insole Carvers can also produce insoles with toe spring and metatarsal pads, arch support, and relief for ulcers, heel spurs, bunions and hammer toes.
With four different models, Canfit™ Insole Carvers have been tailored to suit a wide variety of carving demands; the most compact machine can carve one pair of insoles at a time, while our largest model can produce eight pairs simultaneously. If your carving needs fall somewhere in between, there is also a two pair and a six pair Insole Carver available.
Canfit™ Insole Carvers come with tools that mill and part the insoles automatically. This optimized tooling produces a smooth surface finish, maximizes material use, and allows for easy separation of material.
Safety is maximized with an enclosure on all sides. An automatic locking mechanism keeps the main access door closed until the carving is complete.
*The single pair Canfit™ Insole Carver does not have an automatic parting mechanism.

How do Canfit™ Insole Carvers work?
- After designing your shape, export the file from the Canfit™ Insole Design software to Canfit™ OrthoCAM™ multiple insoles can be loaded in a single job.
- Move the shape(s) within the blank. The Canfit™ OrthoCAM™ software will indicate how well the shape fits.
- Once you have your shape adjusted to fit within the blank, create a carve file and send it to the carver.
- On the carver's screen, select the file you want to carve.
- Load the appropriate blank into the machine.
- Shut the carver door(s) guard and begin carving.
- The carver will mill both the surface and parting pass for all insoles in the job file.
- Once carving is complete, remove the work piece from the carver.
- Separate the individual insoles from the workpiece and finish each insole as desired.
