Vorum Research Corporation, with its current team of professionals, has over 150 years of combined experience in developing software which measures, manipulates and produces models of human body shapes.
Our research and development experience includes:
- Scanning anatomical shapes with optical 3D digitizing equipment
- Reproducing free form shapes on custom-built and conventional computer-numerically controlled (CNC) carving machines
- Developing software products to allow design of moulds for orthopedic appliances to fit the body as well as the design of shoe lasts for the shoe industry
- Designing special purpose software for individual clients with specific needs
Vorum's roots are in research and development. In the past decade, the company has become well established in international markets by achieving vigorous sales. Unlike many commercial enterprises, however, Vorum has maintained an unusually high resource commitment to research and development. Vorum allocates more than 20% of annual revenues to ongoing research and development.
In addition to advancing the Canfit™ P&O and Canfit™ FootWare™ product lines, Vorum dedicates significant effort to custom software development. We have a successful history of assisting clients in modifying or enhancing Canfit™ design software to meet unique specifications in their practice, in developing custom interfaces between Canfit™ applications and existing industrial CAD/CAM systems, and in undertaking large scale projects with new commercial potential.
