Our History
Pioneers in CAD/CAM Technology
VORUM Research Corporation was founded in 1989 by Carl Saunders, co-developer of the first commercial CAD/CAM system for Prosthetics and Orthotics. Research began in 1978 in Vancouver, Canada resulting in the first public demonstration of a computer-aided design and manufacturing system for P&O professionals at the 1983 International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO) World Congress in London.
